City Code of Ordinances

The City of Oxnard defines a short-term rental as leasing a dwelling for fewer than thirty (30) calendar days. Both home shares and vacation rentals are classified as short-term rentals.

Business License Requirements

A valid city business license, timely payment of annual business taxes verified by a business tax certificate, a valid City transient occupancy tax registration certificate, and prompt payment of all required City transient occupancy taxes are all requirements for the owner of a short-term rental.
