City Code of Ordinances
The City of Orange defines a short-term rental as the act of the owner renting out a dwelling unit, a portion of it, or a livable additional building connected to a dwelling to another person or group of people for occupation, dwelling, lodging, or sleeping needs for less than thirty (30) calendar days in a row.Business License Requirements
Any property owner in a zone that allows residential uses who wish to rent all or a portion of their property for thirty (30) days or less must get a short-term rental permit ($250) and a business license ($260) unless their property is in a mobile home park.Building and Housing Standards
