City Code of Ordinances
The City of Elk Grove defines short-term rentals as any residential building or section of a building that does not otherwise meet the requirements of a bed and breakfast inn and is rented out to transients for stays lasting at least two 2 consecutive nights and no longer than 30 days.Business License Requirements
Anyone operating a short-term rental within the City is restricted from operating unless they have a valid short-term rental license for each address where the rental would take place.
