City Code of Ordinances
Burbank defines short-term rentals as a residential property that is rented out on a temporary basis. Usually, this rental period is no longer than 30 days. On June 16, 2020, the City Council gave the go-ahead for City officials to start working on a draft ordinance. The proposed ordinance was initially presented at the Planning Board meeting on December 14, 2020. A short-term rental ordinance was suggested. However, the Planning Board decided not to pursue moving forward with it. Currently, short-term rentals are currently unregulated, but the local government is suggesting banning or severely restricting the number in Burbank.Do your due diligence and consult a local lawyer or tax professional. Ordinances and Zoning are subject to changes and should always be confirmed with the City of Burbank.
