A short-term (less than 30 days) rental would require a conditional use permit to operate in the City of Hillsboro in any zone where a Bed and Breakfast is not permitted outright. Residential zones would require a conditional use permit for short-term rental. The scope of the request and conditions of approval are reviewed and applied to the request within the context of the application and review and approval by the Planning and Zoning Hearings Board.
