City Code of Ordinances
The Town adopted a local law requiring a permit to operate a short-term transient rental in the Town of Rochester. The use of a Short Term Transient Rental property shall be strictly considered an accessory use to residential use single-family and two-family dwelling units and allowable only upon receipt of a short-term transient rental permit in the AR-3, AB-3, R-1, R-2, R-5, H, and B zoning districts. The cap number of available Non-Owner-Occupied dwelling units shall be established by the Town Board annually on or before September 30 of each calendar year, based on the Town of Rochester Assessor Final Tax Roll for that year.
