City Code of Ordinances

The Town of Mashpee allows and regulates short-term rentals. For more details, see the Town of Mashpee PART XXV, SECTION 1.00 – Short-Term Rental Regulation.

Business License Requirements

To ensure the health and safety of short-term rental occupants and neighbors and to protect the owners of short-term rental properties, the Town has instituted a short-term rental registration and inspection program, as provided for in the Rental Property Bylaw and Short-Term Rental Regulation.

Building and Housing Standards

Mashpee has rules and regulations that specify minimum building, design, maintenance standards, habitability, health, and safety requirements. Some rules and regulations that apply to residential and non-residential properties may apply to your listing.  Consult the Building Department for more information.

Tourist and Local Taxes

Short-term rentals might also be subjected to the state and county sales tax and are liable for payment as established by state and county law.
