City Code of Ordinances

The City of Augusta currently does not have any regulations on short-term rentals. Presumably, these uses are allowed in all residential and commercial zones within our jurisdiction and not permitted in industrial zones. All businesses will require a local and/or a state license, and occupancy (number of occupants) cannot exceed what is normally permitted in the residential use categories. No more than 3 unrelated individuals are permitted within our residential zones.

Building and Housing Standards

The City of Augusta has rules and regulations that specify minimum building, design, maintenance standards, habitability, health, and safety requirements.
