City Code of Ordinances

Short Term Lodging is defined as the duration of stays that are for a period of fewer than 60 days.  Subject to the issuance of a Zoning Permit, the use is permitted in the City's Residential Office "RO," Commercial Office "CO," Commercial Arterial "CA," General Commercial "CG" and the Central Business District "CBD" and prohibited in all other zoning districts.  Click here to view the City of Waterbury's Zoning Map.  One parking space is required per guest room. There are no specific additional zoning requirements for Short Term Lodging.

Short Term Lodging is subject to the issuance of a Zoning Permit.

Building and Housing Standards

Waterbury has rules and regulations that specify minimum building, design, maintenance standards, habitability, health, and safety requirements. Tourist and Local Taxes
