City Code of Ordinances
The town of Breckenridge regulates short-term rental. Any advertisement that offers an accommodation unit for rental in Breckenridge must prominently display the town's business and occupational license number.The occupancy limit for all accommodation units except studios shall be two (2) persons per bedroom plus four (4) additional persons. The studio accommodation units' occupancy limit shall be four (4) persons.
The host shall provide to the Finance Director the name, address, and telephone number of a responsible agent who the licensee authorizes to receive communications from the Town concerning the accommodation unit and who agrees in writing to comply with the special conditions of the license.

Short-term rental operators in Breckenridge must obtain a valid accommodation unit license. Only 2,200 licenses are available.Building and Housing Standards
