City Code of Ordinances

Pursuant to the Walnut Creek Zoning Ordinance, residential occupancy of 30 days or less is considered transient rather than permanent and is therefore only permitted as a bed and breakfast inn, hotel, or motel. These uses are prohibited in the City's residential districts, except that bed and breakfast inns may be allowed upon the issuance of a Conditional Use Permit in the R (Single Family Residential), D-3 (Duplex Residential), and M (Multiple Family Residential) zoning districts.
