City Code of Ordinances
Collier County commissioners have adopted new registration rules for short-term rentals. Effective January 3, 2022, Collier County will require registration of “short-term vacation rentals.” Properties located in the City of Naples are exempt from Ordinance 2021-45. Short-term rental of single-family residences, including advertising of these rentals, is prohibited under a 2008 Naples City Ordinance, according to the City of Naples (unless the zoning district expressly authorizes it, which is a rarity in Naples). Naples has taken the stance that its 2008 law is grandfathered and fully enforceable because it was passed before the state preemptions in 2011 and 2013.Is something not quite right?
