City Code of Ordinances
Short-term rentals are permitted in Miramar. Miramar defined short-term rentals as “Short term rentals means a property that is rented more than three times a year for less than thirty (30) days at a time.” View the Miramar Chapter 4 - ZONING for the specific use regulations. A City Business Tax Receipt is required by City ordinance for anybody who wishes to operate in or manage any business, profession, or occupation inside Miramar, including home-based businesses. These are the steps to this procedure:- Registration with the City of Miramar Police Department for a Bed & Breakfast, Short-Term Rentals, or Vacation Rentals.
- Complete the Certificate of Use process with the Building Department.
- Complete the Business Tax Application.
- Apply for all State and County licenses.
- Provide proof of property ownership at the Broward County Property Appraiser. If a business entity owns the property, please provide ownership information found on Sunbiz.
Building and Housing Standards
