City Code of Ordinances
Short-term rentals are allowed in Bridgeport and are defined as all or a portion of a residential dwelling unit being offered for rent to overnight guests for fewer than 30 consecutive days. There are two types of short-term rentals: those in which no onsite events are held ("Type A" short-term rentals) and those in which onsite events are held, such as weddings, receptions, anniversaries, parties, banquets, and business seminars ("Type B" short-term rentals). Type B short-term rentals require review and approval of a special permit in accordance with 11.50. No more than 6 adults and their dependent children may occupy rooms within a short-term rental, and short-term rentals are not permitted on lots occupied by an accessory apartment (see 4.70.2).Business License Requirements
